Constellations

“For obvious reasons, Constellations requires flawless coordination between the performers and the technical team. Lighting designer Elizabeth Kline and stage manager Mac Geldmacher support the actors with unfailing precision.” –Mary LaFrance for Talkin' Broadway’s Regional Reviews

“Elizabeth Kline’s simple lighting design matches the monochrome platformed stage.” –Paul Atreides for Eat More Art! Vegas blog

“A bare, black stage with two raised steps, the actors subtly move to various parts of the stage to indicate a change of locations as well as passage of time, aided by seamless light transitions…Constellations is yet another success for Cockroach Theatre. Acting, directing and technical work, the show certainly is effective from the top down.” –Matthew Martello for Edge Media Network

Art Square Theatre is a 2100 sq. foot venue in a building devoted to arts enrichment in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. Though the space was not necessarily built with a theatre in mind, it has been converted into an intimate, completely reconfigurable black box. For this production of Constellations, the configuration was a 70 seat proscenium nestled in the corner of the venue.
